D_Mirror ‐ A digital mirror

Why D_Mirror

With mood‐driven advertising, brands would be seamlessly integrated into the user's daily routine, reflecting the current mood of users and delivering personalised advertss that resonate with their emotions. D_Mirror would utilise machine learning to analyse user profiles, providing valuable insights into their day‐to‐day preferences. By offering personalised tips and product recommendations, D_Mirror becomes a trusted companion in enhancing users' preferences where brands become essential part of their journey to refined style and self-expression.

D_Mirror would also ensure immediate and real-time engagement by capturing the present mood and responding with relevant content. This dynamic interaction creates a memorable and impactful brand experience. The adverts would be sourced from a central computer habouring the algorithm designed by Qibin with facial tracking features.

Sourcing for TVs

The first task was to source for screens, preferrably TVs or monitors whose outer housings we took apart to retain the LCD screens, their frames and circuit boards.

Attaching the screens to a support

We then attached the screens, by their frames to the back of a rounded board of wood laser cut to match the glass dimensions.

Making the mirror

We then laser cut 3mm 2‐sided acrylic sheet attached to thick glass on the front of the screens using glue and to achieve reflectivity.

D_Vase ‐ A digital vase

Why D_Vase

In an world where plants are part of everyday living spaces, this would be a modern intuitive piece that performs an action using proximity sensors and an Arduino board, in this case playing an advert for a timed duration when someone passes by as Kimberly demonstrates below.

D_Window

This would be similar to the mirror only that in this case it is meant to be an overlay of adverts on a digital overlay of the outside environment. The adverts would likewise be sourced from a central computer habouring the algorithm designed by Qibin with facial tracking features.

D_Frame

D_Frame aimed to revolutionalise the art world by seamlessly blending exquisite artworks with subtle subliminal messaging, offers a one‐of‐a‐kind visual experience. Each piece would elegantly display intricate details that go beyond the surface, engaging viewers in a captivating journey of aesthetic discovery and hidden messages.

Why D_Frame
